Creating and developing your own brand can be a daunting and time consuming process. The best place to start is by analysing what is already out there, look at what other people have done and get your creative juices flowing. Luckily for you, this first part is on us. We have picked out some of the top exhibitors from Speciality & Fine Food Fair who's branding is on point...

Wilding's Snacks 

We began by speaking to Adam Wilding from Wilding's Snacks to get his perception on building a new brand:

“On discovering a unique method for cooking the perfect duck crackling, it was soon made clear that we needed equally stand-out looking packaging and brand design. After many attempts at crafting our own logo, we discovered that professional brand design was indeed required.

I spoke to a few design agencies and quickly learned how eye wateringly expensive their services can be. Luckily a friend in the industry introduced me to Chris White, a founding director at 'This Way Up Creative Ltd’, who are an award winning brand design agency, and who also share my passion for Duck Crackling.

The thought that we could trade equity for services was a truly great one, as our product was only in it’s infancy and cash difficult to gain from anywhere. The journey with them has been such an eye opener, as their skill is not just in design, but also in extracting the true nature of my business and transferring it into the DNA of our brand. This has given us clear direction to develop all marketing material from packaging and website to trade presentations.

With quality branding in place, I found that approaching further cash investment was much easier, and that outstanding design significantly increased the value of our brand. Although I've parted with a sizeable piece of my business I now have the backing of a very skilled team, and as such have a beautiful brand and future support in the new products that we wish to release.”

t + drinks will be launching their new brand at Speciality & Fine Food Fair this year. They have worked in great depth with a branding house to completely revamp their packaging and proposal to make it more relevant to their target consumer base. They are promoting their innovative range of wellness drinks.

Flower & White

More and more consumers are demanding products which are free from - either for dietary reasons or as a lifestyle choice - and the category in the UK is booming. With experts at Mintel predicting further growth in the sector, Flower & White wanted to create a sweet treat that is not only delicious, but freefrom too and what better way to launch a product than with new packaging.
